Using SEO videos on your site is a surefire way to immediately engage your customer. A well shot clip that introduces your business in a funny, heartfelt, or confident manner shows your customer what to expect from your company. Website videos introduce both you and your content, so be sure that if you use a video, it reflects the quality and tone of your company. If you skimp on your website video, your customer will assume that you skimp on your services as well, so be careful—a bad video can hurt you just as much as a good one can help you.

SEO videos also show customers that you stand out from the crowd. Videos show an extra effort to engage your customers, and your customers will appreciate that. The down side of this is that website videos take a great deal of extra effort and time to write, shoot, edit, and post. But if you have the necessary resources to create a quality video, they are usually well worth the effort.

Another benefit of SEO videos on your website is the amount and types of information you can include in a video. Certain messages are nearly impossible to convey in writing. Sometimes you can say much more about your business without words. However, SEO videos do have their limits and should not be considered a replacement for written SEO content.

So, add a video to your site as an introduction to your content, not a substitute for it!
